Thank you for all the fantastic support you continue to give the sanctuary. It is so much appreciated and helps the donkeys immensely.

Due to Covid 19 we are continuing to remain closed to the public. This has been such an extremely hard decision to make, as the sanctuary relies on the generous support of our you, our kind and loving visitors. We have a duty to care for all of you and our amazing volunteers and hope you understand and support our forsed position…..It really isn’t what we want!

We, and more importantly the donkeys, look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you so much once again!

HOWEVER…. We are still in desperate need of your kindness and help please. Our supplies alone cost around £300/week! If you would like to contribute anything at all, our suppliers, BUCKETS OF LOUTH, are happy to take donations over the phone on 01507 607787.

Please also consider ADOPTING a donkey. It’s a great and fun way to help or a beautiful thing to give someone, or yourself, as a gift!

Twiglet rescued 2016. We didn't expect him to live. He came in with Smokey, they were too weak to stand, their bones were sticking out of their bodies, they wouldn't eat and had given up on life. They had been left for 3 months in a yard with NO food. We tried everything for 48 hours BUT NO, it was heart breaking to see them like that. We had to make a decision BUT then we remembered a trick we had used before on a sick donkey MARS BARS. IT WORKED and kick started their appetite, they are healthy donkeys today although Smokey has long term, irreversible damage to his stomach which results in loose stools and an intolerance to carrots x

Flipper an old boy who came to live here as not wanted in a divorce settlement 2014. He is enjoying his retirement home x

Dina was rescued 2003 after her companion died and she had given up on life, she had no will to live and had stopped eating. 15 years on she is happy. Katie is her best friend, she has cushings which we treat and old lady moods which we cater for x

Adopting a donkey is a fantastic way to help us help them! You are helping to ensure the sanctuary’s work continues in caring for these beautiful and often mistreated animals. Adopting a donkey also makes a fantastic present!

Adopting a DONKEY

Thank you so much for choosing to adopt a donkey and for helping ensure it’s continued welfare. It is really appreciated by all at the sanctuary, but especially the donkeys themselves! Please fill in the form below and send either a cheque (remembering to state your details on the reverse) to: Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary Church Lane Huttoft Lincolnshire LN13 9RB or via PayPal using the link on this page (remember to state your name if not clearly obvious or different from the form). Please ensure you choose which donkey(s) you are adopting.

Donkey Adoption Form

ADOPTION COST

Adopting costs £20.00 per donkey. All the money will go directly to help pay for food, veterinary costs, farrier visits, and a whole host of other general and everyday expenses. If you would like to donate extra on top of the adoption cost, that would also be very gratefully received of course.

Making a Donation

Donations are also a fantastic way to help us at the sanctuary. They can be sent directly to the sanctuary, using a cheque or PayPal using the link and address on this page or alternatively you may donate to one of our suppliers, listed below, remembering to state it’s for Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary.
